Adam Wawrzynowicz to be W&W’s representative of W & W at the 6th Congress of the Polish Gas Industry.

Od 5 do 7 kwietnia w Hotelu Double Tree by Hilton Łódź odbędzie się VI Kongres Polskiego Przemysłu Gazowniczego „Rynek gazu ziemnego w Polsce – kierunki rozwoju” . Jest to wydarzenie cykliczne, organizowane co dwa lata przez Izbę Gospodarczą Gazownictwa. Kongres został podzielony na trzy sesje poświęcone między innymi regulacjom prawnym w branży gazowniczej oraz bezpieczeństwu technicznemu w kontekście rynku usług, producentów i odbiorców. O szczególnej doniosłości tegorocznej edycji świadczy fakt, iż w jej ramach uczczony zostanie Jubileusz 15-lecia działalności organizatorów.

Wśród prelegentów, którzy wystąpią podczas Kongresu znajdą się m.in. Ministrowie Energii, Inwestycji i Rozwoju oraz Przedsiębiorczości i Technologii, a także eksperci z branży gazowniczej, przedstawiciele renomowanych firm doradczych i kancelarii prawnych.

Dnia 6 kwietnia w ramach II sesji Kongresu wystąpi mec. Adam Wawrzynowicz jako przedstawiciel kancelarii Wawrzynowicz&Wspólnicy. Jego prelekcja będzie dotyczyła jednego z kluczowych wątków związanych z regulacjami prawnymi branży gazowniczej.

Kongres został objęty Patronatem Honorowym m. in. przez Ministerstwo Energii, Urząd Regulacji Energetyki i Urząd Dozoru Technicznego.

W&W’s Kamil Iwicki to be a speaker at the Gas Liberalization and Energy Security Conference 2017

The 2017 8th edition of the Gas Sector Liberalization and Energy Security Conference will take place on December 11. The topics discussed will include: diversification of gas supplies, the Northern Gate project, the next stage of liberalization on the gas market and the gas market on the Polish Power Exchange.

The conference will be attended by, among others, Dr. Piotr Naimski – Secretary of State and Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure; Piotr Sprzączak – Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure; Maciej Woźniak, Vice President of the PGNiG S.A. Management Board.

W&W’s Kamil Iwicki will give a talk entitled “New rules for gas storage. Amendments to the law on stock and changes in energy law “.

W&W’s Tomasz Brzeziński to be a speaker at the conference, “Changes in the Power Industry 2017. Regulatory-legal Challenges for the Energy Sector”

The 10th edition of the conference “Changes in the Power Industry 2017. The Regulatory-Legal Challenges of the Energy Sector” is to take place on November 29, 2017 at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw and will address issues related to the winter energy package, the power market, changes in the Water Law, and the MIFID package II. Tomasz Brzezinski will deliver a talk at the conference entitled, “MIFID II, MAR, REMIT – new obligations, exclusions, limits, reporting, and the impact on the energy market”.

An article by W&W’s Adam Wawrzynowicz and Tomasz Brzeziński, “Gas Industry Commitments under the Law on Electro Mobility and Alternative Fuels” appears in the latest edition of the magazine of the Chamber of Commerce of the Gas Industry,”Przegląd Gazowniczy”

The draft law on electromobility and alternative fuels implements EP / Council Directive 2014/94/EU of 22 October 2014 on the development of alternative fuel infrastructures, which obliges EU Member States to develop such infrastructures. The deadline for the implementation of the directive in national law was 18 November 2016.

The article by Adam Wawrzynowicz and Tomasz Brzeziński entitled, “Gas Industry Commitments under the Law on Electro Mobility and Alternative Fuels “, and published in “Przegląd Gazowniczy” No. 2/2017, discusses the objectives pursued by the draft and the new responsibilities of distribution system operators, including the obligation to select an infrastructure operator for CNG refueling stations, the obligation of the DSOs to participate in the preparation of the General Board of National Roads and Motorways, and the obligations related to disclosure.

Kamil Iwicki delivered a lecture during the 6th edition of the conference, “LNG in Poland and Europe 2017”.

The 6th edition of the conference “LNG in Poland and Europe 2017” was held on 29th May, during which W&W’s Kamil Iwicki delivered a speech entitled “Regulatory and Legal Conditions for LNG Import and Trading on the Polish Market”.

The conference was devoted to the development of the LNG market in Poland, the Baltic region and Central Europe. Topics discussed included the importance of terminals and LNG infrastructure for Poland’s energy security and gas market competition, the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, the LNG terminal in the Gulf of Gdańsk and US LNG imports.

The conference was attended by: Piotr Naimski (Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure), Frederik Smits van Oyen (Vice President of the Management Board, Cheniere Marketing), Anders Bjordal (Head of LNG Trading, Statoil), representatives of the Ministry of Energy, GazSystem SA, PGNiG SA and Polskiej Spółki Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o.

Kamil Iwicki and Adam Wawrzynowicz are to give a speech entitled, “New regulations on the security of gas supply” at the GAZTERM 2017 conference

The 20th edition of the GAZTERM conference will take place from 14th to 17th of May 2017. It is one of the most important conferences for the exchange of information and experience between the users of the gas, heat and electricity market, as well as for the presentation of the latest technological and technological achievements of the energy industry in Poland.

The conference will discuss topics such as the release of gas wholesale prices and the following consequences, the development of underground gas storage facilities, the new regulations on security of gas supply and the management of methane from coal seams.

The conference will be attended by representatives of the largest Polish power and chemical companies active on the Polish gas market. There will also be prominent specialists in the field of international gas markets and international relations. Including among others: Marcin Sienkiewicz – President of DISE, Maciej Woźniak – Vice President of PGNiG SA, Łukasz Kroplewski – Vice President of PGNiG SA and Artur Zawartko – Vice President of GAZ-SYSTEM SA.

Wojciech Bigaj is a speaker at the conference, “The auction system as a mechanism of competition between generators of electricity from renewable energy”

W&W’s Wojciech Bigaj is to deliver a paper entitled ” “Information obligations and costs of supporting auction wining electricity generators from renewable energy” at the conference, “The auction system as a mechanism of competition between generators of electricity from renewable energy”, to be held at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Poznan Adam Mickiewicz University on April 19th.

The conference will focus primarily on the legal regulations contained in the provisions of the Act of 20 February 2015 on renewable energy sources, as well as in the implementing regulations of this law and in other provisions related to the Act on RES, specifying the principles of organization and conduct of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office auctions for the production and sale of electricity from renewable energy sources.

W&W’s Kamil Iwicki presented a lecture at the latest “Gas Market Liberalization and Energy Security” conference

The latest “Gas Market Liberalization and Energy Security” conference took place on the 12 December at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw. This is an annual conference which has been taking place since 2006. This year’s conference was dedicated to the deregulation and development of the gas market in Poland and Central Europe with the focus on, among other things, deregulation and gas prices, energy security and the Polish gas exchange and OTC platforms.

Among the speakers appearing at the conference were representatives of the Government Plenipotentiary. for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, PGNiG SA, the Gas Transmission Operator – Gaz-System SA and the Ministry of Energy, as well as experts from the gas industry and representatives from reputable consulting companies and law firms.

The conference included a lecture by W&W’s Kamil Iwicki on the “Conditions for Regulatory and Legal Detariffication in the Gas Market”.
